In some scenarios, having a unit in range of a supply hub doesn't necessarily guarantee it will be in supply. Keep your eyes open for them, and overrun them to keep supplies flowing. There are several ripe Axis supply hubs in the western half of the island. Captured supplies can be very useful in this scenario! If you move into an enemy supply hub, it will resupply friendly units in the vicinity. Move it further north, close to the Messina battle if you are having trouble up there. Later you can disband it, and one turn later it will be available for you to use again. Initially, you can place the supply hub near your landing zone. The Brits really just need one truck to keep moving. That will push supply coverage nearly to Palermo and quite a distance along the western road, as well as covering most of the central part of the island. Try a supply hub with level 3 at Licata, or the hex just to the east of it. In the Sicily scenario, you have a fair few trucks to worth with. When you first establish a new supply hub, it will have level one, but you can use additional supply trucks to boost it as high as level 4. Supply hubs can have more than one level. How the heck.?Ī few thoughts, apologies in advance if you've already figured some of this out! I remember being in your position the first / second time I played through Sicily. So EXACTLY how do you get supply to work in this case so I don't have to end up pressing "next turn" about 10 times until the scenario fails because no units can attack? Patton, taking the northern coast road, seems incapable of getting any supply 2 spaces past the northern crossroads near Palermo. Others were out of supply and ineffective. The Brits could only bring one unit to bear at any given time and that unit would always do 0 damage. Because ONLY the road gets supplied, even with my HQ just a couple of spaces back, I can't budge that tank. Bombing them every turn doesn't work either. I can't suppress them or anything else - it doesn't work. And with that one tank, they will take no damage on any attack. I can only get the units on the road in supply. But by the time they hit the river just south of Messina, there's a chokepoint manned every time with a tank. They can capture the airfield and head North. Same tends to happen with the Brits slugging their way up from Syracuse. What, a truck can't drive 20 miles to bring some ammo? I can't get ANY supply that way and there's no place to establish a supply base along it. But then there's zero supply available towards the road from Palermo to Messina. I move North through the center of the map up towards Palermo, establish new supply at the crossroads in the middle of the map and then middle-North on the coast just to the East of Palermo. It's out of supply and thus I can't capture the objectives that way even though there's a clear, unoccupied road that way. No, the problems are when I move towards the North and especially West. Take the coast, establish the HQs (Brits to the East, Americans on the beach) and then repair the 3 bridges so supply can flow. *Sigh* I have no problems with the lower parts of the map. On f'in Easy difficulty because all my troops were not supplied properly. Let's take the Husky scenario - the invasion of Sicily. Please read the below.if you link a video, please ensure it addresses THIS scenario so I can better understand it. There's something about the system I'm missing. Obviously, I don't and the videos I've seen aren't helping.
