Conversion itself runs fine without any issues. It can easily be reproduced with any movie and the effect is not limited to a specific video or audio codec selection. So it seems like the mixdown functionality to stereo now behaves slightly different than before. When using a 1.5.x release the volume levels remained intact on mixdowns to stereo and 5point1. With the latest 1.6.x releases the volume becomes a bit lower when a mixdown to stereo is performed while volume for mixdown to 5point1 remains ok.
